Whitehall State Park

When you are starting to feel like a fish out of water, visit Whitehall State Park. Comprised almost-entirely of water, this Massachusetts park is the perfect place to go boating, canoeing and kayaking.
Out on the water
Spanning nearly 600 acres, Whitehall Reservoir is the main attraction of Whitehall State Park. Formerly used as a source of drinking water, the reservoir is now used for boating and fishing. Bring your water vessel, and use the park's boating ramp to cast off in search of fish or simply enjoy breathtaking views. The boating speed limit is 12 miles per hour, ensuring that you can fish or relax without worrying about annoying speed racers. Whether you are out in search of food or beauty, there are many nooks and crannies to explore. Wildlife is abundant in the area, and you should expect to see lots of birds and amphibians. When fishing, you may find yourself pulling in trout, crappie, bluegill and maybe even bass.
Hiking
When you need a break from the water, take a quick hike through some of the hiking trails found in the park. No matter which trail you choose, you are sure to find a picturesque view of the water that takes your breath away.
Located in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, Whitehall State Park is a dream paradise if you are a water-lover. While personal watercraft, such as jetski or body boards are not permitted for safety reasons, you are welcome to bring your boat to spend the day fishing or exploring all the little inlets the park has to offer.
